Long week.

Hello! I am really sorry I haven't been blogging recently but it has been a really hectic week. I haven't been swimming recently because I have been ill and it has also been very busy at home with mum in hospital and my Nanna and Grandad were looking after us so they couldn't take us swimming because they can't fit all of us kids in the car and of course they can't leave the little 2 at home on their own and Dad was at the hospital staying with mum. So I didn't swim Thursday or Friday because we went to see her in hospital, but I think Friday night training was cancelled anyway because of counties, I would like to say a big well done to everybody who competed at counties, and I am determined to make it next year. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to Nanna and Grandad but Grandma and Grandad are taking their place! Then mum came home Sunday! It's really good to have her home, everybody has missed her so we are really glad she is back. Then I didn't go training Monday morning but I did go Tuesday. I enjoyed the set but it wasn't one of my favourite  The part I enjoyed most was the part where we did a did a pyramid. We did 6x25m Fly then 5x50m  Backstroke then 4x100m Breastroke then 2x200m Frontcrawl then we went back down. The part I least enjoyed was the frontcrawl. I lead on the breastroke when we went up and on the breastroke, backstroke and fly when we went down. Then I also swam Tuesday night as netball was cancelled due to icy courts. So I went swimming.I found it hard as it was a 2 hour session. I didn't do great for the first part of the session but I think I did better in the second. We did relays at the end which was fun. Then I swam Wednesday morning and we had Lee and Maria coaching us. There was only 5 of us so I had a lane to myself. I loved the set and Maria and Lee are really good coaches. It had to be one of my favourite sets because it was hard but enjoyable at the same time. One part of the set we had to do 6x100m frontcrawl but on the second turn you had to do 2 tumble turns and it was really fun! So I really enjoyed that session! But because my mum can't drive for 6 weeks I have to get the bus which means from  now on I need to get out at 7. Unfortunately at school I didn't feel well at all I had a fever, sore throat, bad headache and a bunged up nose. As soon as I got home I went straight to bed and slept for ages. I woke up and just laid in bed as I had a really bad stomach pain. Whenever I moved or got up I started shivering uncontrollably. I had dinner in bed and went to sleep. I woke up in the morning feeling a lot better with the exception of the sore throat and a blocked nose. My grandma said it was probably just a 24hr virus thing and my little sister had something similar at the weekend. My Grandma says it is probably due to lack of rest and because my body is so fit it is easy to catch an illness and that if you look at athletes such as Seb Coe they always get horrible bugs so I need to rest. The funny thing is me and my brother both got it at the same time but Monty woke up still ill so I went to school but he didn't. This is the reason I didn't go swimming Thursday morning. Thankfully yesterday(Thursday) was our last day of the spring term and now it is the Easter Holidays! So we are off for 2 weeks, but that doesn't mean that swimming has stopped, although there is no swimming tonight, Sunday or Monday, I will still be swimming during the Holidays.Well I am off to get ready to go to see the horses at the stables with my family bye!
