County Netball Academies

Hello, once again I have returned from a very long break!

So since my last post I have moved house, and the new house is brilliant, I have attended counties and I did okayish, and also I have had an allergic reaction to the pool, making eczema come up around my eyes whenever I swim.
The result of my eczema means that I have had to stop swimming in the mornings and cut down to 2/3 sessions a week, which I am quite upset about as I love swimming and now I can't train as much I'm hoping it won't have an effect on my times at the next open meet.

One really big exciting thing that happened this month was that I was picked to attend a county netball trial and I found out yesterday morning that I had been accepted into the Essex County Netball Academy! So that consists of 30 weeks of training, which will commence in September, and I can't wait! The good thing is my friend Megan got in as well, along with another girl from my club, which means I won't be all by myself.

Today is the last day of the school before the Easter holidays, so it means I have got 2 weeks off to relax and spend some time with my friends, including a big sleepover round my new house.

So back to swimming, I went last night and it was ok, I didn't do too badly and I didn't find it that hard, but unfortunately I have only been able to attend one session this week. I have an open meet coming up soon so I am going to start focusing on what I need to do to pb in my events. I think the only two I need to work on are my 100m IM and my 100m Backstroke as I haven't done them for a while, but hopefully I do well.

I have to go now so until my next post, goodbye.

Back To Blogging!

Hello! Yes I am back! And am ready to face the fact that I haven't blogged since last year! But I am back now! In a very brief summary I will explain what has been happening since I last blogged and also a little recap on what has happened.
Okay so I have two county times. My ear is better (hurrah!!!) and I am back swimming( as well as blogging). We are moving house in 10 days :O to Great Notley Garden Village which I am MEGA excited about!
In the next few weeks, as I am in year nine, I will be choosing the subjects I want to do for GCSE and I think I am going to choose: Maths, English language and literature, Triple Science(Biology, Chemistry and Physics), Physical Education(PE), Spanish, Geography and History. I am not entirely sure yet whether I have definitely got triple science as it hasn't been decided yet but in the exam I got one of the highest levels, which I was over the moon with as I had revised a lot! I am quite pleased with my options as I enjoy all of them and I think they are all good subjects to take for GCSE.
So now that I have got you all up to speed, I shall move on. So I swam tonight and it was tiring as I was quite tired today but I think I trained ok. Recently I have been practicing my breastroke for counties as I really want to do well in my 50m Breastroke as it is the event I think I have the best chance of winning or at least reaching the final in.
Also I am going to start eating a more nutritious diet and make sure I am eating the right things that are good for me as I want to bulk up so I don't look like a stick insect, as one of my fellow swimmers referred to me as. So I am going to research into what are the best foods to eat are.

I think that is all for today and plus I need to get on packing up my room! Until next time, adios!
Don't forget to follow, comment and share and if you have any advice for me on the food front then I would be grateful!
